Overmatched. Overwhelmed. Dominated. These are words that describe College of San Mateos' 49-20 performance against the Chabot Gladiators during last Saturday's football game.
Throughout the game CSM marched the ball downfield on almost every drive. Their first score came with a touchdown pass by CSM quarterback David Singleton to wide receiver Francisco Ragsdale at 11:15 in the first quarter.
In addition to the Chabot football Gladiators coaching staff is former National Football League player Chester McGlockton.
Chabot College is honored to have a former NFL star who is able to share some of his professional knowlege with our players. This is a privilege to not only the players but the school.
The Gladiators score two goals in the first half against Contra Costa and win their first game of the season. The Lady Gladiators put up a strong and hard fight against Long Beach City College, but were beaten by a score of 4-0.

The Chabot College men and women's soccer teams had their double-header home opener on Friday Sept. 7 as the Gladiators scored only two goals, against Contra Costa, in the first half but ended up winning the game 2-0.
The Lady Gladiators put out a strong effort against Long Beach City College, but lost 4-0.
After just completing renovations to two of Chabot's athletic facilities, concerns and speculations have not been slow to follow.
The concerns have been drawn on the recent installation of the new artificial football turf and the reconstruction of the school's swimming pool and deck.
