The Chabot College Health Student Center offers affordable health care for those registered students when they are feeling ill, need a check up, and in their times of need

Many people get sick physically or mentally. Many can go to the doctor but for a busy, uninsured, low-income college student it can be harder than it seems. There is a solution right here on campus to help.
For women the center also offers pap smears, breast exams and pregnancy tests. It also offers birth control prescriptions.
The center also provides free flu vaccines during the flu season and free TB testing. Hepatitis A and B, MMR (measles, mumps, and rubella), Tetanus and Varicella shots Immunizations can also be found there for lower student rates.
These can be very important when trying to get employment. Lab work can also be done there.
This is the only service that allows students to pay half up front and the other half to get their results.
Student life can also be overwhelming and challenging at times.
The center is equipped with counselors to give students someone to talk.
It also provides guidance for life's tough issues.
Marriage and family therapy is within arms reach and referrals for other mental health aid is accessible.
Simple, over the counter medicines band- aids, ice packs and condoms can be obtained with just a walk to facility.
Wagoner raises the question "What's bad about having health services for young people?"
Then answers his question "It's a nice service to offer to students."
