"Viva Mexico, Viva Hayward" were the chants of the people, led by Chabot College's instructor Francisco ZermeƱo, who showed up to the Cinco de Mayo celebration in downtown Hayward on Saturday. Cinco de Mayo is a celebration of the 1862 victory of the Mexican army, under the command of General Ignacio Zaragoza Seguin, over the French at La Batalla de Pubela.

Colleges such as Stanford University, Ohlone College, and UC Berkeley are providing students with classroom lectures on the go. What began with Webcast lectures, downloadable to one's home PC, has taken on a new form: Podcast lectures. Technology is consistently offering students new educational options that can enhance their learning experience, and utilizing the popularity of the iPod has mass appeal.

Kicking ass sure feels like doing chores in Spider-Man 3. Released May 4 for the PC, PlayStation 2, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Nintendo DS and Wii, this new action game based on the movie is great if you like to smack down petty thugs over and over and over.
