A guide to help you maintain and manage your credit file
By Burgos, Paul
When you are in serious credit card debt, it could mean big trouble. The reason is because credit card debt can eat at you not only in your current financial situation but also your future financial well-being. This is because, when you use your credit card, you are adding extra interest if you are only making the minimum payments each month.
WRAC Center moves from the 800 building to the library until further notice
By Martinez, Chanel
In light of recent events, I feel I should first of all say that my POV this week, in no way reflects the opinions or feelings of my fellow staff members here at the paper nor the tutors at the WRAC Center. With that said, it seems that the WRAC Center staff find themselves moving to the library after 15 years of service on the lower level of the 800 building.
I would first like to apologize to the students of Chabot College, campus clubs, and the faculty and staff for what some have believed to be our lack of desire to cover campus events.
I have been on staff for two years and have seen the triumphs and follies of this paper.
Chabot Student Stephan Shaw:
I am writing this in response to an editorial printed in the April 26 edition of The Spectator entitled "Mayhem in the Bible." In it, writer Jack Wu portrays God in the typical Old Testament fashion, a petty, vengeful, being who would exterminate an entire race of people for the most minor of infractions.
Chabot Student Gary Ray:
I am writing to respond to the recent article, "Mayhem in the Bible" by Jack Wu. Wu's angry writing reveals an author who is prejudiced against, and unaware of, the teachings of Christianity.
His suggestion that the Bible records that God is responsible for "millions and billions of violent deaths" shows profound ignorance.
Anonymous Student:
I was frankly quite shocked at Jack Wu's "Mayhem in the Bible" article in the Spectator last week, and very upset by it. His statements on God's word and his views were obviously from a radical viewpoint, and I don't see anything good coming out of it.
