Once again it seems we have been ignored. ...this email is being sent to the Chabot Administration and all its' administrators, the Classified Senate President, the Faculty Senate President, my Senate, Chancellor Cota, and to the President of the Board, Mr. Cedillo.
Since the beginning of this Academic year, you have all heard that the Associated Students of Chabot College (ASCC) has had problems with Chabot's shared governance structure.
After the ASCC presented its resolution to the Board of Trustees, we have not recieved any notification that any of the required actions per the resolution have been attempted to be addressed.
Because of this, the ASCC has never, and will no longer recognize College Council as part of Chabot's Shared Governence.
If any information affects students in any way possible, that information must be brought to the ASCC Senate for discussion and approval. In short, the ASCC will no longer attend and be part of the College Council.
If the ASCC continues to not see any attempt to correct any of the problems underlined in the resolution, we will have no other alternative but to proceed with legal consult and legal action.
