The bad.

In Spiderman 3, there is a constant trade on who Spiderman is truly fighting. The antagonists are Venom, the Sandman, and the Goblin Jr. They play the supposed "villains" of the movie. The Sandman, for instance, could be the main villan but his main objective is not to kill Spiderman, but to provide for his ill daughter. Only later does he choose to kill Spiderman after being convinced by Venom.
Furthermore, there are moments in the movie when there is a little too much chitchat. The most obvious moments are when Peter Parker and his aunt are in the same scene. Luckily at these moments, you can feel free to get up and leave the movie to use the restroom or get a refill on your soda or popcorn, if the scene does not put you to sleep first.
Also, the romance between Peter Parker and Mary Jane Watson destroys the hype of the movie. The relationship starts off smooth, MJ has the lead in a Broadway musical, but loses her roll after serveral bad reviews. At the same time, Spiderman's position in the community is skyrocketing. You begin to think that MJ has become jealous of her boyfriend, but the movie fails to address the exact cause of friction between the two. This turns the movie into a "glorified soap opera."
In spite of the $148 million the movie grossed over the first weekend, it is not worth the $10. Wait until it is released on network television, so you can watch it for free.
