Discrepancies in procedure lead to voided election

Last week's Associated Students of Chabot College election is now voided due to discrepancies in the college's election code. ASCC Election Chair and Marketing Director Rachael Berry, was the election committee organizer for the ASCC elections and was in charge of flyers and pamphlets for the candidates.

The Chabot foundation has finally come to a decision in regards to who will receive pouring rights here a Chabot college. The process has been a slow one, because the decision- making began last July and will soon be finalized. The official announcement is still being planned.

Reserved textbooks have always been available to students in the library, and five years ago members of the ASCC pushed for more teachers to participate and put their books on reserve. It is evident that the prices of books are entirely too high for many students, and not a lot of students can afford them.

Maze collapse breaks down traffic

The inspectors will now begin assessing the damage to the Interstate Highway 880 connector and see what type of harm it sustained. The crews finished demolition of the collapsed section of Interstate Highway 580 late Monday night. Caltrans spokesman Bob Haus stated, "Because of the way the freeway collapsed we haven't been able to see the extent of the damage.
