There once was a way to get back home, but now you're lost forever.
Each day the sun rises and falls. The Earth rotates during a 24 hour period. During these 24 hour, 365 days a year nothing really changes. That's a lie.
Students all over the campus have lost loved ones and friends. How many of you just recently lost someone? Chances are someone reading this paper will have known someone who recently passed.
Death is just a part of life. But for some of us we have difficulty moving on.
The impact of losing someone can distort our image of life, the way we think, and the way we live. This writer is personally sorry for your loss.
Someone once said, "Death is like getting out of one car and into another." I really do hope it's that easy. There are so many people living in fear. Why must this be a world of fear?
There are a few quotes that try to explain the way life goes, like, "There is nothing to fear but fear itself, Life goes on with or without you, and, Life is like a box of chocolates, ya never know what'cha gonna get."
What I need from you depressed readers is a little sign of hope. Eventually all things pass. Breaking up with somebody or losing a loved one are just 0.01 percent of the real problems going on in the world.
There are people straving out there. There are people with no place to go.
Your world goes on because you let it. You picked up this newspaper and were interested in what goes on at our school. That's one step closer to moving on.
But what do I know? I know absolutely nothing about death, tragedy, and disaster. I only know what I think I know, and for me that's saying a lot.
So hang in there Chabot College Community students. This semester is almost done, and before you know it Fall will be here.
Take a break away from summer school or if it seems too relax then come, either way I don't care. Just do whatever it takes to get you through the night. Move on already!
Peace.
