Chabot host it's annual open house inviting the community

First off, on Saturday, May 12th, Chabot College will sponsor the annual event which is geared toward showing off what we have to offer in being one of the most well known community colleges in California.
The school is already known for having educated such celebrities as Tom Hanks. But Mega Day and Open House are two entirely different events.
Mega Day is for students who will have graduated from high school or who are coming in as undergraduates this year, they will be encouraged to take a friendly tour of our campus and it will show them how the school has managed to have the enrollment of new students go up.
According to the event coordinator, Susan May, "Mega Day and Open House will have exciting opportunities for new students who are just graduating from high school and want to get on the right track [coming] into a new community college.
If we want to attract new students to this college, then these two events make it more germane to cover those who want to have an exciting future here at Chabot."
What else could be better than a car show, pottery sale, planetarium show, Chabot alumni sign-ups, theatre production and our own KCRH 89.9 FM and their live music at the events just to name a few of the festivities that are taking place?
In addition, a jazz-singing band is scheduled to perform at Chabot College on that day. Katharine Tollisen, an event coordinator for both events says, "We are expecting about 500 new students to be attending Chabot College in the fall and it is more than about half of our enrollment, comparing to previous years and as a way to create some kind of orientation we are more than happy to organize Mega Day and Open House which will take place on Saturday, May 12th in the Grand Courtyard from 10:00 AM until 2:30 PM.
Mega Day is also the time when the summer and fall class schedule catalog is to be distributed." However, I think that for the sake of things, this event will enlighten new students to see how wonderful this school is and will be, for generations to come.
