The Chabot College men's and women's tennis teams are having spectacular seasons, as both remain undefeated.

The recent string of victims consists of De Anza, and Grossmont for the men, and De Anza and Monterey for the women.

The De Anza men gave Chabot its toughest competition thus far this season, losing by a final score of 7-2. It took De Anza's Edwin Pham three games to defeat Chabot's Nima Mogaharei 6-3, 7-6, 6-2. Chabot ran away with the rest of singles action.

Yuki Asari defeated Thang Nguyen 6-3, 7-5. Nick Jakosjin defeated Mike Leopold 6-2, 6-1. Jason Huk defeated Khang Phan 7-5, 6-2. Jarrett Huk defeated Allan Nguyen 6-2, 6-4. And Carl Santa Elena defeated Dan Fikes 6-2, 6-4.

De Anza picked up its other point in doubles competition when Phan and Refai defeated Chabot's Santa Elena and Vic Reynov 6-2, 6-4. Everyone else from there on was perfect.

Jakosjin and Jason Huk defeated De Anza's Fikes and Thang Nguyen 6-1, 6-4. Jarrett Huk teamed with Asari to obliterate Leopold and Allan Nguyen 6-1, 6-love.

The men came home the next day to host Grossmont and won 8-1.

It was Colin Simpson who saved Grossmont from total annihilation by defeating Jason Huk 6-2, 2-6, 6-2.

It was a clean sweep from there. Jarrett Huk defeated Dean Hodsman 7-6, 6-1. Jakosjin defeated Kyle Erickson 6-2, 4-6, 7-6. Asari defeated Hiro Imai 7-5, 5-3. Mogaharei defeated Shigeaki Kawamura 7-6, 2-6, 6-2. And Santa Elena defeated Sam Benham 7-5, 6-4.

The women's tennis team continues to make some noise with their rackets as well. The ladies ran into some stiff competition when they traveled to De Anza and just barely won 5-4.

The Gladiators would split singles competition 3-3 after Chabot's Megan Kummer was defeated by De Anza's Micala Cabral 2-6, 7-5, 6-1. Lady Glad Jackie Park ran into trouble as well when she lost to Anna Libman 6-3, 6-1. And Hilda Quiroz was beat by De Anza's Jenny Phang 6-4, 6-4.

Tiffany Villanueva started the turn-around for the Gladiators by winning her match against Misato Itoi 6-3, 6-4. Chabot's Shari Kakiuchi defeated Mari Tashiro 6-4, 6-love. And Tam Tran completed the split, coming up victorious against Stephanie Accorinti 7-5, 3-6, 6-4.

De Anza gave Chabot a scare in doubles competition when Libman and Accorinti scratched and clawed their way to a win 3-6, 6-1, 6-1. Villanueva and Kakiuchi took care of business and defeated De Anza's Itoi and Tashiro 6-4, 6-1.

It would come down to Kummer and Park for Chabot against Phung and Osentowski. A win for De Anza would end Chabot's perfect season. Nope, Chabot wins 6-2, 7-5.

The Lady Glad's went on to wipe the court with Monterey 7-2.
