Marching for a national holiday to honor Cesar Chavez

Chants of "si se puede" filled the air last Saturday as hundreds of Latinos walked the streets of San Francisco in honor of Cesar Chavez.
Every year on March 31, thousands partake in events all over California, in admiration of his contributions to the United Farm Workers and Mexican American labor forces.
The Chabot College campus is now introducing a new Cal State East Bay course at the college. It is called Anthropology 3740: Cross-Cultural Studies in Child-Rearing.
The course, which is managed by Marge Maloney, Dean of social sciences at Chabot College, will feature a cross-cultural study of infancy, childhood and adolescence, the process of enculturation, socialization and methods of child-rearing.

On Tuesday, April 3, Chabot hosted the Fifth Annual Return of the Swallows Festival. This event has worked hard to educate the people in the community and at the schools about the necessity for certain animals and insects in our present day society. The swallows are not any different.
