A new candidate will be taking the place of Susan Cota, one who devoted 31 years to colleges

The opportunity for people to send in applications and resumes for district chancellor came to an end as of March 19, but the search for the most qualified person to take the place of Susan Cota has escalated to the next level.
According to the job search brochure, the ideal candidate will be required to possess, " An earned doctor or other terminal degree from an accredited institution; a dynamic record of achievement in a large complex organization that includes administrative experience in a community college, other postsecondary education institutions, and/or business, industry, government, and/or non-profit organization.
Chabot's fire alarm system has received some of the attention it needed. A new fire alarm system has been recently installed in hopes of better preparing the community for future alarms.
The new fire alarm system will take about half as much time to warn people on campus to evacuate compared with the fire alarm systems used in other community colleges across the state.
ASCC Scholarships
Chabot students have until March 28 to apply $30,000 in scholarships awarded by the ASCC in May. Among the awards are the President's award for Leardership Achievement ($1,000), two Board of Trustee Scholarships ($500 each), a Cesar Chavez Scholarship ($500) and more than a dozen other scholarships.
