Gladiator tennis smashes on
Chabot's men's and women's teams continue to run through all who go up against them

The men improved their season record to 5-0 after having their way against Cabrillo on Thursday March 8, Foothill Friday March 9, and DeAnza Tuesday March 13.
The women kept right up with them swing for swing bettering their record to 6-0 after the nine-love obliteration of Foothill on Friday March 9.
Thursday March 8, the Gladiator men traveled to Cabrillo and won by a final score of 8-1
In singles competition Nick Jakosjin defeated Shaun Herry in three sets 6-3, 6-7, 6-2.
Yuki Asari defeated Kyle Walker 6-4, 6-love, and Jarret Huk defeated Aaron Hernandez 6-1, 6-1.
Nima Mogharei defeated Jeremy Barber 6-1, 6-1, while Bobby John defeated Will Hendricks 6-1, 6-3.
Chabot's Vic Reynov defeated Cabrillo's John King 7-6, 6-2.
The next day Chabot hosted Foothill and put the hurt on them 8-1.
In singles action Jakosjin defeated Andrew Khuri Yakub 6-1, 7-6, 6-3.
Asari's match against Foothill's Chris Batchelor was nothing more than a massacre as he dominated the poor guy 6-love, 6-love.
Huk beat down on Cabrillo's John Antal 6-2, 6-2.
Mogharei defeated Joseph Manansala 7-5, 6-love, Carl Santa-Elena defeated Daichi Adnuma 6-love, 6-2.
The Gladiators John crushed Nathan Lee 6-love, 6-love.
In doubles competition Asari and Huk defeated Khuri-Yakub and Antal 6-1, 6-2.
Jakosjin and Mogharei teamed to to beat Manansala and Batchelor 6-4, 6-3.
And the team of Reynov and John could only beat Lee and Benoit Belley once 7-6, as the second match was retired.
On Tuesday March 13, DeAnza rolled into town to get their butts whipped 8-0
In singles action Jakosjin defeated Thang Nguyen 6-3, 6-2.
Chabot's Asari was victorious over DeAnza's Mike Leopold 6-3, 6-1.
It took Huk all three sets to defeat Alan Nguyen 6-2, 2-6, 6-4.
Mogaharei needed three to beat Khana Phan 6-3, 5-7, 6-2.
Santa-Elena won his match against Edwin Pham 6-3, 6-1, while John defeated Faizon Refai 6-3, 4-6, 6-1.
In Doubles competition Asari and Huk teamed to defeat Nguyen and Leopold 6-love, 7-6.
While Jakosjin and Mogharei defeated Nguyen and Phan 6-2, 6-2.
The Gladiator mens tennis team will next play on Friday March 16 at home against Ohlone College.
The women will next play on Friday March 16, but will travel to Fremont to take on Ohlone.
