Yesterday morning, around 2:30 a.m., an 18-wheeler truck containing produce tipped over, blocking a freeway ramp near Chabot College.
The truck driver apparently loss control at the right-hand turn from Interstate 880 South to Highway 92 westbound.
"For whatever reason, the driver underestimated the turn and the produce contributed to the shift in weight," said California Highway Patrol sergeant Keith Crane.
Former Editor-in-Chief of the Chabot Spectator, Spencer Holladay spoke Thursday, March 15 during College Hour in the Cafeteria on behaf of the student body.
Holladay promotes unity and involvement of the student body to fight for College Hour to be kept.

ASCC protests to keep administrators from stepping over the student's opinions

The rally to save College Hour has turned into something much larger than that. It is now focused on student rights.
The College Hour issue has brought to light the long-standing thought of a few ASCC members that the administration is not following its own governing documents, which state that any issue concerning the student body shall receive due input from the students.
The forensics team returned from last weekend's Community College State Tournament, earning some top honors. A.S. Cobb: bronze medal, programmed oral interpretation of literature; A.S. Cobb and Randy Sao: bronze medal, duo interpretation; Nam Tran: bronze medal, Lincoln-Douglas debate; Barbara Tanner: gold medal, prose interpretation of literature.
