The men's and women's tennis teams are off to a great start as they have both racked up undefeated records.
Chabot's baseball team is finding success after getting off to a slow start, and is currently on a five-game winning streak improving its overall record to nine and seven, while Chabot's conference record remains undefeated after two games.
On the golf course it is not the pen, nor the sword, but the mighty nine irons, sand wedges, and putters the Gladiators wield that gave Chabot its most recent victory at the par 71 Palo Alto Hills match.
The match was held March 5, and featured the talents of Cabrillo, Canada, Foothill, Monterey Peninsula, and San Jose Community Colleges.
Chabot finished on top of all of them golfing a 373 with Canada being the nearest competition golfing, a 384.
Eric Crociata was not only a leader for Chabot, but the leader of the pack as well posting a 70, with Gladiator Jeff Murphy close behind, golfing a 71, the two best scores for the day.
Tony Guerrero and Kevin McClain tied, finishing with a score of 77, while Scott Steelman's score of 78 and Nick Rechedy score of 82 rounded off the scoring for Chabot.
The Gladiators are currently standing on top of the team standings with 36 points, with Cabrillo not too far behind at 27 and Canada in third with a score of 20.
Picking up the bottom of the pack is Foothill with 17, Monterey Peninsula College at 16, and San Jose City College holding up the rear with just a meager 10 points.
Gladiator golf travels to San Jose March 12 to compete in the San Jose Golf Classic Tournament.
Around the track, Chabot traveled to American River College to compete in the Beaver Relays. The ladies would finish second in shuttle hurdle with the team of Shana Mitchell, Jasmine Brooks, and Linda Saunders.
The women also finished second in the discus relay, and the Javelin relay. In the discus relay Chabot's Shiela Cleland, Laura Zimbrick, and Kassidy Rowley competed. In the javelin relay Chabot sent Rowley Saunders and Cleland to bring home the silver.
Mitchell also competed in the triple jump and finished in fourth place, while Saunders competed in the pole vault and finished fifth in that event. The Gladiators also earned fifth place finishes in the shot-put and the hammer relay.
In the meantime on the men's side of the meet, Kyle Robinson ran a 1:56.8 in the 800-meter event, and Aaron Macklin ran a 49.7 in the 400.
The Gladiator men also finished second in the distance medley run by Macklin, Robinson, Nick Sigmon, and Joey Nunes.
The Gladiator track and field team will be in Modesto this Friday night to compete in the Jack Albiani Classic.
