The sexualization of young girls is occurring more frequently, especially during this time of increasing technological growth. In an effort to protect adolescent girls, the APA (American Psychological Association) Task Force on the Sexualization of Girls was formed to raise awareness.

It is rumored that College Hour at Chabot will no longer exist after this semester. In a bold move, ASCC members say, President Carlson announced that he is cutting college hour, without approval or input from students or the ASCC. Dayne Nichols, who is the ASCC's representative on the Board of Trustees for the ASCC comments "We feel that the decision was made before it was brought to us… The one thing I'll never forget he said, 'The students will just have to deal with it.

Last Saturday afternoon, the socially conscious organization, Standing To Represent Our Next Generation, invited guests from other colleges to discuss controversial issues that directly affect youth. The board members of STRONG held a meeting on campus to debate rising college tuition, health care and financial aid restrictions and formulate plans to influence policy in 2007.

Do you know what time it is? Well, in a little less than a week from now, you're going to be an hour late if you don't set your clocks ahead an hour. What does that mean to Chabot students? It means that if you are worrying whether you are late to class or not, no matter how much you hurry, if you don't change your clocks on March 11, the next day you will be considered tardy.

Club Day/ Rally: The ASCC and the Inter-Club Council are sponsoring Club Day and a "Fight for College Hour Rally," at noon, March 15 in Building 2300. This is a great opportunity for students to learn about the various clubs on campus while allowing student voices to be heard in regards to saving College Hour.
