Left and right they are disappearing like they are going out of style. Where they once graced the presence of students and added an environmental sensibility to the campus, they will now be replaced with pavements or buildings, leaving the campus less canopied.
Student government loses three members within a matter of weeks

Bernadette Richard stepped down as the president of the ASCC last Thursday, just before the start of the President's Day weekend.
Robert Lu, former ASCC vice president, has assumed the position of ASCC president. He recently commented, "As soon as the president position is vacant the vice president automatically chairs senate meetings and becomes president.
All the water from the swimming pool has literally been "sucked up" as part of the campuswide renovation funded by the Measure B Bond Program.
The pool is just one of several amenities on campus to receive a makeover.
"[The construction] will make it better for the community," said project manager, Grace Seferian.
The success of an athlete depends on many different types of things. Such things include, agility, skill and stamina. However, there are more than just the physical skills that can affect an athlete. These include the playing conditions. For example, take a football player who is used to warm climates and then has to play a championship game in heavy snow.
Black History Month Event
The Students for Social Justice will be hosting the movie, Negroes With Guns, showing and discussing the film for Black History Month. The event will be today at noon in Room 520.
