Politics exist everywhere there is a body of people needing to be governed.
It doesn't matter whether or not you are in a small city or a prosperous nation; there is some form of politics that have been created to keep people in order. Even this very college has a form of politics, known as the ASCC, Associated Students of Chabot College.

English teachers work together to help students learn better reading skills

This March 9th, the Carnegie Foundation, along with the Chabot College Center for Teaching and Learning, will co-sponsor an on-campus conference entitled "Reading: a Learning Perspective."
A combination of workshops and speakers are slated for the event, including Chabot College English teacher Dennis Chowenhill.
A tall, well-dressed man strides across the parking lot and into the counseling offices of Building 100. His goal is to get students involved in themselves and the importance of a higher education. His name is Ernesto Victoria; he has been a full-time counselor since 2000 but began his work here in 1992.
Performing Arts Center plays house for one night to new talent

The 44th annual Battle of the Bands presented by the Hayward Area Park and Recreation District is being held this Saturday Feb. 10 in Chabot's own Performing Arts Center. Tickets will be only $8.
Over the past years the battle has showcased local talent whose band's participants went on to sign to major labels.
