For the first time this millennium, the Chabot College Student Health Center is hosting a Minority Marrow/Blood Cell Registration Drive today, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the foyer of Building 2300 (Cafeteria). Early Childhood specialist, Michelle St. Germaine, has initiated this righteous cause for her friend's two-year-old son, Harrison Padua Leonardo, who was diagnosed with Acute Myelogenous Leukemia earlier this year.

This holiday season, instead of giving one of those stars that are so distant they require a telescope to locate, order an actual commemorative brick and dedicate it to a loved one. "The Pathway to the Future Campaign is a great way to contribute to Chabot College and leave a lasting memory," said Heidi Finberg, assistant director of the Chabot College Foundation.

Witchcraft, necromancy, and divination: These and other occult practices are the subject of a new television series sponsored by Chabot College and produced by Chabot students. Psychic Edward Carrion is the host of the new show, entitled Exploring the Paranormal.

Chabot College Foundation was awarded $800,000 from the prestigious Valley Foundation to financially support a partnership of San Leandro School District and Chabot College. This award is one of the largest private gifts given to the college or the Chabot Foundation in years.
