Li Keng Wong, author of Good Fortune, a memoir about her immigration experience in America, spoke at Chabot's Library Tuesday Dec. 5. Wong, and her mother, along with two sisters came from China to the San Francisco Bay Area in 1933 to join her father who was already living in the United States.

Artist raffles sculpture for 'aid' of the needy
Last Friday night, artist Andrew Stoia raffled off his scul-pture, Blackbird, in Union City. Stoia has displayed Blackbird all around the Bay Area on tour, ending at Hayward's own E-on Café, right across the street from Chabot College. Inspired from the famous Beatles' song, "Blackbird," the driving force behind the creation of Blackbird was Stoia's love for birds.

On Tuesday, the Chabot College Bookstore held its se-cond fashion show. The fashion parade was held in the cafeteria at noon. The event was put to-gether and planned by Steve Stevenson. Each model received $20 to go towards their school organization. Therefore, each group in the show raised money for school.
