Don't fall into the devil's hands

Every year, people celebrate Halloween. Will people ever stop celebrating this wicked holiday?

Halloween celebrations are all about deceit and drunkenness. Children and adults dress up like devils, monsters, and other crazy characters. These people are practicing deceit.

Why do people wear masks and why do people dress up? It is to keep secrets and to hide their identity, or to make a fake identity for themselves.

Halloween is a day full of illusions, and alternate realities. To form these illusions, children have costumes and candy; adults add alcohol and drugs.

I remember as a child in public school, the teachers taught us to observe Halloween and its awful traditions.

But if you truly advocate "separation of church and state" then you must remove Halloween teachings from public schools because it is clearly religious propaganda.

Why should kids or anyone else go out trick or treating for candy? Is it really fun? If your children want candy, just go and out buy it for them. Besides, all that candy is really unhealthy and likely leads to chemical imbalances in the body.

In addition to trick or treating and wild parties, Halloween is also known as a time of mischief and pranks. Miscreants throw toilet paper and eggs at people' s houses causing messes and property damage. Halloween causes a lot of unwanted trouble.

And it is a sad fact when Christians, who are supposed to reprove the works of darkness, actually support wicked events like Halloween. This is pure apostasy.

Well-known "Christian" organizations like, Focus on the Family, say to avoid the "darker side" of Halloween which involves "the occult, witches, devils, death, and evil" but encourage parents to "make costumes for your children that represent fun characters, such as Mickey Mouse or an elderly grandmother, and then let them go door-to-door asking for treats. This side of Halloween can be thoroughly enjoyable for the little ones."

Is this supposed to be "lighter side" of Halloween? What happens when your children dressed up as angels bump into neighbors that dress up like devils and witches? Will you take their treats?

The truth is that all of Halloween should be avoided. It's a holiday of witches, and unless you are a witch, you should not have any reason to celebrate it.

The Bible has clear prohibitions against witchcraft of any sort. So if you think there is such a thing as a "good witch" or "the lighter side" of Halloween, you'd better ask God.

Regardless of what you readers decide to do this Halloween, remember: judgment is near. The devil knows he has only a short time to make as many people as possible follow him and his perverse ways, but it will all come to an end very soon.

Silly costumes, Halloween candy, liquor, and the businesses that sell these things won't last forever. My prayer is that you readers will turn away from these things and seek God who is everlasting.
