Know the person before committing to marrying them. Know the instructor before joining his or her class.
Professor rating sites are not new to the World Wide Web, but they are a handy new feature at Myspace.com.
Myspace is a site for people to create personal profiles, message friends, and meet new friends. It's very well-known on this campus; just visit the library's computer lab.
The fact that thousands of Chabot students are plugged into Myspace makes their professor-rating feature a true treasure because of how easy it is to access at a common source.
Right when a person logs onto his or her Myspace "home," above the point of having to scroll is a link clearly marked "Professor Ratings" in bold. It can't be missed.
Click on the link; choose whatever college, then appreciate the wealth of information available as most professors are listed.
What makes this feature even more special is that once a person clicks on an instructor, he or she is are given an average rating on a scale of 1-5, five is the best, and comments written about that instructor by the students themselves.
With so many students piling into classes at the start of every semester, and then dropping out within a few days because they realize they don't like the teacher, these professor ratings save both time and money.
They can also save students from receiving a "W" on their grade reports. There's really no good reason not to check them out.
Myspace is a fantastic place to explore.
Anyone can join, all that is required is an established e-mail account. Those are no hassle setting up - all you need is an e-mail account. A quick place to set up a free e-mail account is mail.yahoo.com.
